    Michael Mikulec

    In the landscape of art and design, Michael Mikulec's journey is a compelling narrative of creativity, innovation, and global influence. Born in the picturesque state of Connecticut, he has since made a significant impact from his base in Savannah, GA, showcasing a blend of artistic talent and visionary leadership. At the heart of his early career development was the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. This foundational education set the stage for a series of professional achievements that span the creative spectrum.

     

    Michael's initial foray into the professional realm took him to ESPN, where his contributions to broadcast design not only earned him critical acclaim but also two Sports Emmy Awards. These accolades were in recognition of his exceptional ability to blend design excellence with a compelling narrative, particularly exemplified by his work on the "This is SportsCenter" campaign. His quest for creative excellence then led him to Los Angeles, where he became a key player at Troika Design Group. There, his innovative work was instrumental in launching the CW network, enhancing MTV's HD platform, crafting the NBC logo for the 2008 Olympic Games, and showcasing his prowess in entertainment branding.

     

    Seeking to broaden Mikulec’s creative horizon, he ventured to Rome, where he spearheaded creative projects at Frame by Frame, collaborating with a diverse international clientele. This experience not only diversified his portfolio but also deepened his appreciation for global innovative perspectives.

     

    His academic ambitions took him to Yale University, where he pursued a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. This period was marked by the notable achievement of designing the Fenway Park 100th Anniversary Logo, a testament to his design expertise and creative vision.

     

    Returning to the United States, Michael played a pivotal role in establishing Frame by Frame's New York office, where he directed projects for prestigious clients, further solidifying his reputation in the creative industry. His journey also led him back to SCAD, where he contributed to the academic community, nurturing the next generation of creative professionals.

     

    Now, as an independent Creative/Art Director and Designer, Michael Mikulec continues to inspire with his innovative projects, drawing upon a rich tapestry of experiences. Beyond his professional endeavors, his commitment to philanthropy underscores his belief in the transformative power of creativity to effect positive change in society.
